How Nokia N9 could have saved 'Nokia'?

 Nokia N9 : Was it a better solution for the competition?

1. The time when we saw the N9. 

When we nokia fans first saw the Nokia N9 it was a very pleasing moment for us, because in the year when N9 was announced and launched Nokia was ruling the mobile phone industry and Nokia's N series was always a excitement to us fans because these N series used have best hardware and software capabilities and latest,greatest innovations packed in them and 'Nokia N9' was a device carried that heritage.

2.what's special in the N9. 

Nokia actually had decided to go experimental with N9 and they tried something new in the device itself,  

The design of the device itself different than its predecessors, Nokia tried premium polycarbonate which was pretty better option compared to glass and metal, 

when it comes to specifications everything was decent and perfect enough at that time, Meego harmattan ran with a ease on the configuration used for Nokia N9, multitasking and the new interface was fabulous on the N9.

3. Meego vs other operating systems. 

The Concept of Meego was ahead of its time,

Nokia's Maemo and Intel's moblin merged and thus Meego was formed, Meego's main competitors were going to be ios and android and if we saw the user interface and the gesture navigation were way better than their competitors,

When it comes to apps then the competitors were better, but there's a catch, Meego actually had support of Android Apk's in the beginning so sideloading of apps was going to be best if we saw any successors of N9 and

 Nokia's Qt project was their too which could have helped Meego, Symbian S60 & Symbian S40 devices by having single app store for these three operating systems and if Nokia continued it then maybe they could have been succeeded, but the leadership team wasn't brave enough to take any risks at that time.

4.How Elop effect affected Meego project. 

Stephen Elop wasn't the sole reason for Meego's demise, there are many Nokia executives who were not intended to do something new in the industry, so the executives got two options left choosing Android OS or Microsoft OS,

In android they have Samsung as a big competitor 

And

In Microsoft they didn't saw any direct competitor against them, and Microsoft even promised them to fund if they totally going to choose windows phone as option for their devices.

Nokia choosen another risk free thing here and and as we know it was windows os, which later made them sell the mobile phone business to Microsoft.

Many call Elop a trojan horse but in reality it was a mistake of other nokia executives too who were so focused on investors so they didn't want to take any risk at that time.

5. Conclusion.

Nokia N9 a true masterpiece it was ditched due to no risk taking executives of Nokia, the guys who were behind the Meego project tried their best and delivered something way ahead than the competition and it was the executives who were into making the investors happy all the time and not understand the advantages of Meego against Other operating systems in the market, everything nokia developed was ditched when they announced that their core focus on Microsoft Operating system as their main operating system.

At last we fans lost Meego and The Inovation king 'Nokia'
